
The dairy farm of the Red Cows Consortium located in via F.lli Rosselli, Reggio Emilia, waits to guide you at the discover of the production of the Red Cows Parmigiano Reggiano. We will show you,during a guided tour, the different steps of milk process. You will see at work our chesse makers, who repeat the ancient actions that are the basis of our production culture until today. The visit at our dairy farm is a genuine and involving experience, it is suitable for privats, groups and schools.
The visit can take place throughout the year, from Monday to Friday by appointment. It is always in the early morning (about 9.00 a.m.) and lasts about 2 hours. During this time you can attend all the processes of the production of the Red Cows Parmigiano Reggiano, from the milk to the wheel, through the process of breaking of the curd (spinatura). You can also visit the storehouse of the dairy farm. At the end of the visit it is possible to buy the cheese at the dairy farm shop.
How to visit
The visits will be carried out only on reservation and is free for school groups of all levels.
For private groups, the fee is set at 5,00 € per person.
